
What We Do
The Family Resource Centre is for all families with children aged prenatal-5 years in Tisdale and area. We provide free learning experiences for the families to come together, play, and explore. The Family Resource Centre also is able to suggest other professionals that can help your family strive for success.

Programs at the TAEYFRC
All families are welcome! This includes new parents, caregivers, grandparents, single parents, low income families, Indigenous families, children with varying abilities and new Canadians.
There is no cost for families to visit the Centre. All programs are FREE.

Leora Bergen
Program Coordinator
Leora has worked as a certified Educational Associate with the North East School Division for over 25 years, encompassing all grades during that time. She has over 15 years of experience in the early years as an EA in the Pre-Kindergarten program. As Program Coordinator, Leora will be developing and facilitating daily programs that will be run at the TAEYFRC as well as working behind the scenes to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Centre as well.

Desirea Binning, B.Ed.
Program Designer
Desirea comes to us with 15+ years of experience as a Teacher, Administrator, and Special Education Teacher. She received her Bachelor of Education in 2010 from the University of Saskatchewan and holds a post-graduate certificate in special education and a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology and Special Education from the University of Saskatchewan. As program designer, Desirea is often behind the scenes making partnerships with agencies, collecting and reviewing data, and developing a strategic plan to best meet the needs of the families of TAEYFRC.

Lauren Wallis
Facilitator
Lauren is one of the first faces you will see coming into our building. Lauren has her ECE level 1 and has worked in childcare for 5+ years. As the facilitator, Lauren will be actively on the floor with families engaging in open play and planned activities. She is involved in planning programs alongside the coordinator.
